This course also helps the candidate develop an ability to mentor YBs in their projects from define through the control stages of LSS. Multiple case studies from different YB project level and/or complexity and presented to the GB for their capability to assess and grasp the concepts in the problem solving process. GBs will be valuable in working cross-functionally across departments breaking the silo-style of working management. Results from GB project efforts can be expected to realize within 60-120 days from day of project definition followed by training completion. Each GB candidate will be coached on what types of project to work on across specific departments/functions and on how to select the problem area within and outside of their domain of interest or value to their customer at work wherever necessary. The GB candidate will have several interactive opportunities to share their situation and get collaborative feedback from the class group with an out-of-the-box thinking to solutions that will reduce the impact of their business problem. The flexibility in this course is that it can be split into 3 + 3 + 4 where Phase I is completed in the 1st 3 days of class and Phase II of 3 days is done 30 days later with activity in between phases. The remaining phases are all completed at the same frequency as phase I and II lasting for 3 days and a final 4 days to close training efforts in class. An interactive “hands-on” kinesthetic experience will allow you to think and be able to apply these ideas to solve quarter-to-quarter issues at business resulting in financial benefit to your customers. As part of their certification and learning process, each GB candidate is associated with at least 2 YB candidates and measured on their ability to mentor the latter to success.
